Is it just me or why are GS resale prices low?
I have RX330 wish I got the GS because I am guy and I want a cooler car. But is their something I am missing a 2006 GS with 52,000 miles, AWD, Park Assit and Navi Lexus CPO $25,600? Even when I got my 2004 RX330 CPO with 63000 miles same dealer 6 months ago with no nav only the Premium Plus package was $26,900. The GS is a luxury car why is it resale value so low? I am shocked.

I'm pissed; do you think Lexus offers a return period? lol. I wish cars could be returned. I always see a car thats cooler and better. I tried to not looking at sites such a autotrader.com anymore or I just keep wasting money on getting another car.
I just saw am 05 Porsche suv for 30,000 that was in my budget 6 months ago!

I have the RX now; I want the GS. I don't think market pressure pushed GS prices that low it was a $50,000 car two years ago. I would expect it to be in the 30s not mid 20s.

^ I can say that it has. I had an IS350 that I traded in for the GS and it went from being worth a lot more at the begging of the year then towards the end. What I ran into is I am in the midwest where "most" want a AWD. I doesnt help that the ISF was for sale on a few dealers lots and well why not take advantage if you can get a good deal on a used ISF already.
I got a pretty good deal on the IS and a really good deal on the GS since its a V8 and most didnt want that with gas prices. I only paid for my goodies that I put on my IS. My previous employer paid for it as my work car
The GS is my company car and so far I like it better then the IS. Since its gotten colder in my area I do hear the dash creaking?
IMO its liek buying and selling homes right now. You will sell low and buy low but the market will self correct itself and you will gain that money back. Just dont count on it happening anytime soon
Now go get that GS and post us some pics

Its been the same from the start. I was pissed when I first realized this after buying my car. I assumed the car would hold its value better. Its a damn lexus for gods sake. It is what it is

It's a car that, as much fun as it is to drive, offers no drastically different options from an ES 350, which is $10K cheaper.
It's a niche vehicle, and since it caters to a specific market, will not hold its value as well as an IS or an ES.

Its supplies and demand, SUVs use to be in higher demand. That will change soon with the price of gas. The GS actually hold its value better than the MB E series, Audi A6 and the BMW 5 series.

If resale is your goal consider the Camry or Accord. Sure the options list isn't as long, but hey you got that resale thing. If your willing to drop 50 large, resale is a thought, not the objective.
