Well, since I have several people well-connected with Lexus telling me it will happen, start saving now.

The word is Lexus feels it needs a supercar to compete with Benz / BMW.

They need a GS-F to further show Lexus can be truly sporty and to compliment the IS-F.

It has to be done.

I just read a little clip in sport compact magazine that said that because the economy sucks and gas prices have been high that the GSF will be put on hold as well as the supra replacement . so sad, but can you blame them. I think the 3GS is one of the worst selling cars for lexus. ES, RX, and IS rule the sales numbers. I do seem to see a lot od LS's in my area

As I've said, they should be planning for 2012 or 2013, when the 4GS will be out & the economy would have recovered

Yeah, the economy might be better after 2010, but Lexus have to invest engineering money into the 4GS now in order to row out the 4GS by 2010 or 2011. I think investing money in a car that is not selling well is the last thing Lexus wants to do right now.

A supercar would be nice but what Lexus really needs to compete with Benz and the others........coupes!
A GS sized coupe would get me high as a kite. I'd be so high I would need hospitalization to come down.

3rd Gen GS isn't selling well b/c its not good looking (bug fat ugly ***) and just doesn't offer the value that it once did.

lol how bout someone just buy a GS and swap an IS-F motor and call it a day? j/k

a GS-F would be sick.. but what are the chances of it really happening the way things are going right now with the economy and what not?

I've always been a fan of the GS despite all the talk about it not doing so well in the market. But I'd love to see the GS-F.

I love the GS...all 3 of mine have been fabulous cars. Fun to drive, quiet, smooth, great vehicle.

Tighten up the suspension, add a couple hundred horsepower and bigger brakes, and it would be perfect...hopefully, that's exactly what the GS-F will be.

Well, it is possible to make your own GSF.
Doesn't Wald or someone make an FI kit for the GS?
The suspension is easy to fix. The steering would be tough to change but I wouldn't want to anyway. Just the handling.
WHy not swap with the ISF motor. Someone with big bucks should do it.
