Default 06 GS430 wheel paint?

Had my wheel repaired locally, and the paint match is horrible. Does Lexus even sell the wheel paint or is it available in a spray can? I can't figure out how the shop did it, but I want to repaint it. Thanks for any and all help.

i don't think lexus sells wheel paint. and i guarantee you 99% of the time that you will not be able to get a wheel shop to perfectly match the color. it might come very close, but it will still be distinguishable.

ideally, you should have had all four wheels repaired and painted at the same time, that would have solved your paint mismatch problem

and one other thing - i hope that you let your repaired and painted wheel sit untouched and undriven for at least one month (longer the better). apparently the paint needs to cure, and if you drive on your repaired/painted wheel right away, you will have paint flaking problems down the road (i personally don't have any experience in this, but was told by a buddy of mine who went through this exact problem when he drove on a repaired/painted wheel without allowing the paint to cure; he has had zero problems after allowing a few months for the wheel to sit unused)

letting a wheel paint cure for month or more is not very convenient....i would just buy a new wheel and call it a day

+1 on that. and 'not very convenient' may be the understatement of the year

True ballers indeed!

BTW, my buddy has 2 sets of rims - one for the summer and the other set for the winter. He fixed the curb rashes on his winter wheels during the summer, so that's how he was able to get by.

OEM finish (color, texture, smoothness, etc) just can't be duplicated by wheel repair shops, which is really unfortunate.
