My 06 GS 430 has less than 20k.
Last week, when it was colder out, the engine look a couple seconds to start, and sounded like it had no oil. The problem went away after about 20 seconds or so.
I took it to the dealer, and they duplicated the problem. They called Lexus, which supposedly told them it was "normal" for this engine to do that, and that it wasn't harming the engine. Apparently, it was "priming" the pistons.
Has anyone else had this problem with the 430? And does this sound like a total bunch of hogwash to anyone else?
I don't think a two year old Lexus should sound like a '79 Nova!

did it sound like it was knocking really loud? did you let it sit for a long time before you started it up? did it just start doing that? how long have you had the car? has it done that ever since you had the car?
