ventilated seats
Since getting my '06 last month and spending the past 4 weeks in the shop for the replacement of the power steering rack due to failure (under warranty), my ventilated seat switches were also replaced as there was some physical damage to them. I never noticed that my original switches for the ventilated seats have any cold settings but I'm sure it has heat settings.
Now, with the new ventilated seat switches, it has both cold and heat settings. Switches seems working as when I slide to heat, the light indicator turns red. And when slid to cold, light indicator turns green.
Since I never really noticed my old switches to have the cold settings, I am confused whether my car is equipped with cold ventilated seats or not. I know that when currently switched to cold, no air comes out on both seats. I don't really care about the heat settings.
Does '06 GS300s have ventilated seats (cold & heat) as standard? Or are there cars equipped with heat only? I still have not received my owner's manual when I purchased the car, therefore, I don't have any references.
I need to know because if my car does have the cold setting as standard and nothing comes out of my seats, I have to file another warranty.
TIA for any help.

it's not "COLD" or "COOL"
it's simply an air vent blowing air, so if you change the A/C setting to blow air in the foot well area, your vented seat will work much better
i think only the LS and the LX has the true A/C seats, if i remember correctly

Wimp! I don't use the heat feature until it's 0 degree out. j/j kidding. Hey, where in Dallas are you? Do you know the restaurant "Saigon block"? My friend just opened it up, and the food there is pretty good.

according to the Lexus website...it's an "optional" feature on the 350, standard on the 460. I think it may be pretty difficult to find a base model anywhere...most at least have the basic non-ML package.

How would I know if I have it? Can I determine by peeking under the seat if there is any sort of air ducts?

jr1966, you will hear the fan and feel the air if it is working. I have no idea how to tell if you have it and it's not working. I "think" if you have the perforated leather, you have the cooled seats, but not 100% on that, I'm pretty sure neither Es350 or Is have air conditioned seats, they are the same as Gs, blown cabin air.
