Its hard to imagine $10 worth of clips is causing all this trouble. I think its time for Lexus to throw all these clips in the trash and start over.

Can anyone tell me how loud the rattles are? I just bought a used 07 GS about a month ago and i hear some rattles coming from the passenger side dash. They are worse over rough pavement and i mostly hear them when the radio is turned down to a low volume or off. I am taking the car in next week to Lexus of Mobile for the 20k mile service and I want them to take a look at this. Also going to try and get the brake pads replaced because of the dust.

it progessively gets worse. mine started in the summer (im assuming how yours sounds now) and it wasnt bad. turned the volume up a bit and it would drown out the sound. then a few weeks ago it just got unbelieviable. roads didnt have to be rough, just the slightest bump and even with my radio turned up to around 30, i could still hear it. drove me crazy lol.

I felt the same way IXI187IXI, my squeak was so bad that I can no longer enjoy all the good part of the GS. What a shame.

I just got our GS back from the dealer yesterday. They kept it overnight to be sure it was actually fixed. It was about 10 degree's when I picked up the car and it was gone. Now we'll see how long it stays away.

The sound I'm hearing cuts through the stereo. It's in the same area others mention; passenger side, above the glove compartment. Sounds like if there was an issue with the passenger side dash speaker where it had moderately loud crackles. Or it could sound like small, hard "somethings" hitting the windshield...not as violent/hard as pebbles, maybe what kernels of popping corn would sound like.

I've had mine since April and didn't hear a thing until temperatures dropped below 40. It was strange, the other morning it was in the mid 20's and it was pretty quiet...weirdness.

What windshield clips? The TSB calls for cutting the old windshield clips, not replacing them?

I was wondering the same thing. There certainly could be varying specific problems and repair procedures, but this could be blowing smoke...

The rattling is driving me nuts! This is not suppose to happen on a luxury car!

I finally got my car back after 2 days, they insulated the the dash and some other component and changed a few clips... All I have to say is wow... What a difference that made, not 1 single rattle in the car... Super quit inside the cabin
