hey guys, i'm looking into buying a XM tuner for my GS350 w/ Navi non-ML. I know people say I will need ML to have XM, but I am purchasing the Vaistech unit that should allow me to play the XM as well, please let me know if I am wrong. Do you guys know where I can purchase the correct tuner for my GS. I was on ebay, i just want to make sure I am buying the correct one. Thanks in advance.

If you want just XM, why not get the OEM kit from Sewell Lexus (use discount code CM911 for 10% off) - that's what I did for our '07 GS w/ Nav non-ML. Yes it's a couple $ more than the VaisTech unit (even after you add in the separate XM tuner), but it's OEM and all you need to do is mount it in the trunk and plug in the antenna lead (for the sharkfin) and wiring harness in line w/ amp (which is also in trunk). Total time for me to install DIY was well under 2 hours. W/ the ViasTech unit, I think you need to pull the head unit out (I had to as I installed this in my '04 GX), etc plus you'll have a separate antenna to mount somewhere unless you also buy their adapter to link it to the sharkfin.

I need the Vaistech unit for the intergration with my Ipod and also to play DVDs in the car as well. So I can still order the unit from Sewell Lexus for the XM and also my Vaistech and install everything without a problem, right??

as I understand it, yes it's possible. IIRC, you can daisy chain the Vasitech SLI and SLX together so you certainly should be able to intergrate XM and then add the SLI. VaisTech would know the answer 100% but be warned, they do take some time to respond when a question is asked on their forum...plus you sometimes need to interpret the repsonse...

LOL, thanks burgboxtr. It worked, I have the XM and Vaistech being shipped to my house, hope to have them both installed by next week. EJvette, the non ML does not play DVDs, that is why I ordered the Vaistech package 4, this will allow me to watch movies on my screen and through my Ipod.
