Default turning off pre-collision?

is there a way i can turn off pre-collision when im going on long trips? it gets kinda annoying when it tightens the seat belts for small things like construction grates on the road and stuff im not sure how that works but it seems like everytime im about to go over a construction grate the seat belts tighten and scare the **** out of me. im used to it by now but im wondering if theres a way i can turn it off for when i go on long distance trips.

I have no idea what the answer is, but without having a complete appreciation of your frustration, that sounds like a kind of odd question. Since the timing of a collision is completely uncertain, wouldn't a long distance trip increase the potential for being involved in a collision (simply by virtue of involving more travel/time)?

well the pre-collision system doesnt just lock the seat belts, it retracts them and like strangles you to the seat. it does this for little things like i mentioned before, the metal construction grates on the ground that are completely harmless. it just gets annoying sometimes

mmm im not sure me fighting with the seat belt is going to save me but the other things about the pcs i am grateful about like how it brakes for you if youre about to hit something. but honestly im not sure how the seat belt putting a choke hold on me is going to help me in any way.

Try lowering the side adjustments so it won't choke you...maybe that would help out more. I haven't heard anybody complaining about this issue on this forum yet. I don't think its possible to turn off pre-collision...

dude I wouldnt mess with that mod. dangerous. I think the traction control is WAY intrusive, but I wouldnt totally disable the system.
