See my previous discussion about it: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...nt-in-3gs.html
Its hard to tell how significant the difference; I do feel it a little bit and this could be just in my head
But one thing for sure it revs up deeper and louder when accelerating. This is a very simple and cheap mod. Don't bother with dealership because they will charge you double for the part and at least 30 min labor. The whole install is 10 minutes DIY.

I've installed the K&N air filter. It's only been in for a couple of weeks, and I don't really drive my car that often....haven't had it on the interstate yet. Can't really tell a difference yet, although my MPG has gone up slightly.
Be sure and put the little sticker they give you on the filter box so the dealership doesn't throw it away by "mistake".
I agree with twister though...should only take you 10 minutes, and most of that is removing and re-assembling the plastic engine panels.
Ordered mine from Advance Autoparts...MSRP was like $75...got it for $48.

I used to use one in my ES for about three years. There was no difference that I could see in everyday use that would compel me to continue to use one. Washing and re-oiling was a pain in the azz. If you over oiled it, it caused problems. If you under oiled it then it wouldn't do its job. It was easier to just replace with a disposable filter annually.

are you guys refering to the drop in filters or the typhoon set up. Both arent really going to add anyhting to the car but a growl and a touch better throttle response.
