Default Removing DRL bulbs

I would like to replace my DRL bulbs. Any info on "how to remove" would be greatly appreciated. I've already removed the plastic engine covers. I'm just having a little problem extracting the bulbs from the light casing.

Thanks,
Dkane1

do a SEARCH thread...there should be something about this subject or go to your car manual and it will show you how to remove it also.

The DRL is the high beam bulb, just twist and pull, but if you remove the DRL, you'll have no high beam.

be careful not to touch the bulb. if you do, and you end up putting it back in, the oils from your skin will damage the bulb.

are you talking the DRLs or the small additional bulb that can be seen in the upper part of the high beam reflector dish? Like stated before your DRLs are actually the high beam bulb illuminated to 50% power.

There was a whole long thread about this, changing your parking light to a whiter bulb, do a serach. I think its on the sticky on top as well. I change mine to Prolag M5 and other have try diff brands and LED as well.

The parking light is on a long stick that looks like a lollipop, just twist and turn, its a 194 wedge bulb.

you're doing it correctly already but i think you have to find the correct bulb to twist it out..

your have to remove the shields/covers under the hood. (look in your owners manual, it tells you how to remove those pesky fasteners). Stand in front of the car and site the buld and then look directly behind it behind the grille top edge. You will see a black wand/stick that you have to twist then pull out. The bulb is attached to the other end.
There will be a wire coming off the bottom of this want so don't worry you can't drop it.

The bulb just pulls out of the end. Pop in the new one and then the tricky part is getting it back in the hole. Twist well to get it locked in. You will feel it "pop" into the lock position if you do it correctly. No real problem, just feel you way. You do have to twist kinda hard.

I replaced my bulbs with PIAA Xtreme White bulbs. 168 bulbs and 194 bulbs are interchangable. Like G-Man stated, there was a recent thread (long) discussing these exact bulbs and options people used.
