i know people using software and somehow "convert" the mp3 and burned it as dvd-a format or so to play it?

also, you can always burn songs on dvd as dvd video (just sound, video is blank) and play it that way

once burned into dvd video, i don't think you can do the folders anymore coz' it's like playing a dvd movie

however i really don't know how it's done, someone just showed me with his dvds and they played, but he did mention it takes a few steps, and i figured it's probably easier to do mp3 cd

As a new owner of a 2006 fully loaded GS430, I have a few questions about the DVD Movie capabilities. Your help is appreciated...

1) If I were to burn a bunch of AVI format movies onto a DVD, would it read or do I have to burn specifically as a DVD file?

2) Has anyone got dual-layer discs to work? If so, can you please explain what disc you used, burn speed and movie format?

3) What resolution and aspect ratio is the best (or plenty adequate) for viewing DVD movies on this 7" screen?

Thanks again!

1. No it wont play AVI format I have tired it already I was hoping it would also.
2. I havent tried but I think rominl posted earlier in this thread that it doesnt work?
3. I am going to say with such a small screen this wont make a difference IMO.

Yes you can do this with out the purchase of that kit. All you need to do is ground one wire. If that is all you are looking to do and not worried about cutting a wire and grounding it then it will work There is a DIY thread that is a sticky if you want. I am not sure what color the wire is off the top of my head.
