When we got our GS back, the rattles and creaks were gone. But the
radio was intermittently losing stations. Could be a loose or pinched connection,
or the radio. Either way, I'm not too happy at the moment.

Mine sounds so terrible. I kind of hate my car. It sounds like styrofoam. Every single bump or turn I take you can hear it. I hate it. I dont want to bother bringing it in until theres a fix

Hmmm... I'm in the market for a new GS 350, but the reports of rattling and squeaky brakes has me very concerned.
Is this something that might get addressed in 2009 models, or it more likely that this will persist until they do a GS redesign?

the rattling dash and squeaky brakes are one factor you should consider. having said that, lexus has a better track record in terms of reliability when compared to mercedes, bmw, and audi. if i had to pick a make and keep the car for 10 years or longer, i'd go with lexus hands down. but if you are not planning on keeping a car longer than 4-5 years (ie: get rid of the car after the factory warranty expires), then you may want to consider german cars. it all really depends on what is important to you - long term reliability or short term reliability, and choose accordingly.

I'm also looking at a car for the next 10 years. I'm looking for a nice 07 GS350. Should I let the the rattles and creaks issues bother me or wait until it's all ironed out?

welcome to club lexus. rattles and squeaks can be fixed; don't let minor quality issues prevent you from getting a car that is historically reliable. if you find a GS that you like and want, there is no reason to not to get it. good luck!
