Still rattles, it might be a bit better, but not by much. I sincerely believe the dealer did the best they could. They had the car a week. They pulled the whole dash, and did all the whole kit thing.

The 3rd Gen GS is a flawed design. It will always rattle, it will never be quite the car that it should be. Too bad, I think it's the 2nd best looking Lexus ever, after the original SC coupe.
that's why i will never let them take apart my dash

i believe 90+% of the techs can't/won't fix it.
the other 10% is pure luck.

stick some rubber or paper wedges in the cracks and see if that takes care of the noise.

Whats the alternative if you dont want to let the dealer take apart your dash? drive with ear plugs for the driver and passengers?

Put a giant rubber clamp on the both sides of the dash. That should get most of it!!

I am getting my car back tomorrow. The dealer took the dash apart, but said the noise will come back and it is due to my lower springs (NF210's). They said the harsher ride from the lowered suspension is causing the dash to creek and parts to loosen...

This noise was there before my car was lowered, but now they are going to force me to go back to stock suspension before taking ownership of the dash creeks.

I also have a vaistech ipod adapter and that too is being blamed...

I will see if it gets fixed, and try the rubber wedges as mentioned above near the windshield if the noise is still there.

you let them disassemble your dash?
I am in the same boat - if a dash assembly is what it takes then that is what I have to do

Our GS430 has sounded like a bucket of bolts since we took delivery - put off having it "fixed" so that Lexus could sort out the problems - diid not want to be a service "beta" effort so to speak. Fast forward and I have turned it over to the dealer - nothing to lose - either they can fix the god awful series of rattles from both front doors, the dash, glove box and nav console or I will dump this otherwise fine auto and say goodbye to Lexus forever and back to my old marque. Suffice to say Lexus has a lot of pursuing to do before they are anywhere near perfection
