Had my GS300 in for misc. service last week. My service advisor told me about the 3 service campaigns and they perfored the work. I never noticed a problem with low speed steering or brake noise.

I didn't receive a notice from Lexus regarding the fuel rail service campaign.

Just received the SSC notice mail from Toyota yesterday. It's a late notice but finally is here. In the SSC notice it says my GS should have 9LA and 9LB done, no 9LC. I hope this time Magnussen's will give a Lexus loaner, not a Hertz rental Ford Explorer like last time.

Just got my GS300 back from Lexus. They fixed the fuel rail and it only took two days. I'm very happy.

I emailed journalist/car guy Ed Wallace yesterday about this recall since he's been prognosticating these same type of troubles since the introduction of ethanol. Here's his response today:

"Actually, it also covers the IS series and this is the second recall on Lexus cars over this issue. I’m running down the story, it is burning up catalytic converters in GM products."

That dealer has a crap load of loaners! I'm surprised they gave you a Hertz rental.

Anyways, I just had all of those service campaigns performed on my car the other day. It took so long they needed it overnight. I never noticed an issue. The good thing is that they perform a 4-wheel alignment as part of the steering assembly replacement and they will fill the tank up with 91 octane per the fuel line replacement. I dropped the car off with a 1/4 tank and got it back full.

I heard the bad economy has hit them pretty hard. It was the second time (consecutively) I got a Hertz rental from them.

Nonetheless, I called in for the SSC, I was told the parts were on back-order and will take 1.5 weeks before they arrive. It’s good to know fueling up the gas should be part of the fuel rail replacement.

I just picked up my GS300 '06 from Lexus of Louisville today. All three recalls were preformed plus they filled the tank with gas. They loaned me a new RX 350 to drive for a couple of days.

Any of you guys not getting your tanks filled are getting cheated. A fill up goes with the recall is my understanding.

The steering rack replacement made my car almost new again and solved the vibration problem I had. I have been battling with weird steering feel and some vibration in the steering for 1 year now despite changing tires 4 times! The latest primacy mxv4 made it better but did not solve the highway vibes in the steering until I got this recall done.

So, I am pretty much satisfied. I got a GS350 loaner btw and full tank of gas from Meade Lexus. I also am surprise that they recalled the lexus GS for JUST decrease in power steering and not involving the vibrations. I feel small vibes in the steering of all 2006-2007 GS models on all highways especially with many miles on them and realize that the power steering just doesn't help in steering but takes part in damping the road feedback for a smoother ride. I highly recommend all 2006 GS owners to do this recall!

I will give them a try when I purchase my GS 300. I live closer to Sterling McCall, but I have heard bad things about them.

Finally got a letter from Lexus Canada and they say my 03/07 built GS 350 only needs the fuel line replaced. Is there are VIN range for the rear brakes TSB?

I also live closer to Sterling McCall, but I service through Westside. Now that they've completed I-10 construction, it's a pretty quick drive.
