Hey guys,
I will be purchasing an 06 gs300 rwd with the next few months, hopefully before summer. I'm determined to find one in glacier frost mica with black interior. I decided on the 06 over the newer years mainly because of price, and I don't need the faster 350 motor.
Besides the recent recalls and interior rattles, have you guys been experiencing any other problems with the 3gs? How reliable is the 3gr-fse?

I have the Glacier Frost Mica in the darker grey combo with the black wood. I would think that would be a suitable option for you as well. that will help your search criteria.
I've had my car for over 3 months and apart from the rattles, which I got fixed at the dealer, the car has been outstanding.
Good luck.

Main issues I've had with my car.
Power steering failure.
Torn rear seat piping on both sides.
Main issue PO had with the car.
Audio system failure.
All taken care of thru warranty by the dealer.
Also, camshaft sprocket out of tune (something like that.....didn't even notice but dealer took care of it under warranty by replacing something in there of which I cannot recall from the top of my head).
Now, parking sensors going out of whack.
Another thing. Headlight auto-focusing doesn't seem to work but, based on the dealer's report when it was taken in for warranty, there wasn't anything wrong with it. But I don't see it moving left and right when I make turns at night.

The 300 is a perfect daily driver, it has enough torque for the low end to get in and out of traffic quickly, furthermore acceleration at cruising speeds are more than adequate. Top end on the other hand is pathetic, after about 4K RPMS it seems like you hit a wall and dont even move. Its obviously underpowered compared to the other GS's, but if you want something fast then get a different car, the GS in my opinion is a luxury cruiser.
