Feedback update:
I'm getting a bit more roll due to the higher grip of the tires, both in tire compound and in tire width. Tires are also more quiet compared to what I previously had making noise only on the larger holes and markers. Ride quality was maintained given the same tire pressure even though tires are lower in profile.
Another couple of things to note:
1. I'm getting more steering feel and steering isn't as light as it used to be (but still very light compared to my other cars). Maybe due to a larger contact patch (245 now vs 225 then)?
2. I don't know why but I'm getting an average of 1.5 mpg better in my city cycle, according to the car's mpg readout. No changes in driving habits. Maybe the new tires have a lower rolling resistance compared to previous tires given the same tire pressure even though they're wider. I'd have to consider that each 18" wheel/tire combo is at least 4lbs lighter compared to previous 17" set-up so this may have contributed to the better fuel economy too.
