I have read through this and I'm still not sure which I am supposed to get. I have a 2006 GS300 with navigation but no ML. I have read that on an earlier post that without ML you can get the SL2VI but does this include having navigation? I went to VAIS compatibility page and it says that this is not compatible with DVD. I just want to order this before the group buy is over.
thanks

The switch others used looks oval, but yours fits perfectly in the coin slot. How did you get that nice result?
the ps kit comes with everything you need including all harnesses and instructions and such

This kit comes with everything required to wire it up regardless who you purchase from. There is one MFG of this kit. PS is a retailer/seller of the kit. They dont package this kit or have anything to do with that. Datasystem if the MFG for this kit.

Only two places I am aware you can purchase this kit is eBay or PS. Either way its the same. We have locals that purchased from PS and from eBay and I have installed most of them myself helping out the locals. Trust me they are identical

Well the product is the product. There is no such thing as PS kit. Best Buy sells electronics and you dont refer to the product as a Best Buy do you? You call it Pioneer or what ever the product is called. I dont think its fair to call it the PS kit when that's not accurate information. I have installed these locally in IS and GS and not one had any issues, both from PS and eBay. Not saying Im the expert here just giving accurate info

sorry. one more question about the SL2Vi. To have navigation and video playback function will i have to buy that TV-NAVI switch? I don't really need the video playback on my iphone for the price of the SL2Vi for 250 and tv-navi switch for another 250. thanks for the help.

well i never claim the kit to be exclusive to ps neither, how they rebadge stuff is none of my business. of course there might be right products out there, but i was also just sharing info that there are plenty of wrong stuff out there

if you don't need video, you can just get the ipod audio integration

Are there any solutions for a 2006 GS300 w/DVD and ML, but no Nav...I'm reading on the application chart and it says "not compatible" Anyone know of any other products that'll work for Ipod Audio+Video

Here's the application chart for reference:

I think I have decided I want to add the Vais SL2Vi-version 4 and the TV-Navi Over-ride unit (aka PS) to my 2007 GS350 (with Nav & ML.)

It looks like Vais Tech runs group buys all the time, and I just missed one that ended 2 days ago for $309. Oops.

I am curious if folks have found better prices for a new Vais unit or if that's the best route in the group buy section. I am also curious what folks have found to be the best price available for the TV-Navi over-ride. Does Prestigious Society ever run group buys? Are there any other reputable spots to get this stuff? I appreciate any and all suggestions.

This is what I have: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DATAS...Q5fAccessories , somes to $270 with shipping.
It is the same unit PS sells. The shipping was fast, I got mine directly from Japan in less then a week.

I used the installation instructions from this post: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-it-works.html , except leave the blue #1 plug alone. Instead, bypass the same looking plug located on the back on the navigation unit (the one behind the glove box). If you install the kit just like on those pictures, everything will work, but your overide will have a time limit of about 1 minute.
