Default Exhaust tips not centered...

I had the Tanabe Medalion exhaust installed last week but the tips are not positioned in the middle of the bumper openings. As in the picture below, the right side tip is very close to the right side. The shop told me that the tube bending on the exhaust is off and nothing he can do. Anyone experienced this? or can this be fixed?

It sounds like he did not want to take the extra time to bend the piping slightly, after all it is all metal piping and can be bent a bit if you take the time and effort....

which shop did you go to? feels like they are not specialized in exhaust.

find a shop that can do mandrel bending, it is a very easy fix

If you got it new contact Tanabe direct and let them know, they may replace it.

Take another pic dead center from the rear of the car so everyone can see how its sitting on both sides. from the pic above it looks like the left side is sitting center so moving the exhaust will throw it off on the other side. You can get under the car when its cooled down and there are rubber grommets where the hangers go and you can adjust them and see if you can get it to center up better. If the exhaust is bent and you got it new I would have them replace it for a new one and not pay a shop to mandrel bend it to fix it. I am sure Tanabe will stand behind this and they are on here also so shoot them a PM.

Thanks guys! I will take another better pic later. Actually the left is also not in the center but not that obvious then the right side. I will try have the shop to move it around again. If no good, I may give a call to Tanabe as I bought it new.

You might want them to loosen the bolts before they move it around... center it and then tighten the bolts when it's straight.
