Default How do I adjust mirror tilt down degree?

I understand the mirror only tilts down when the mirror selector is on left or right and not in the middle.

However, the mirrors do not tilt down enough for me to see the curb and this is really annoying because I live in downtown Chicago where it is imperative to see the curb while parallel parking.

Thanks.

You cant, you will have to tilt your head up or adjust the "normal" position a bit lower so that it seems to tilt lower

I believe while in the reserve mode, you can adjust the mirrors further down.

Is that just like adjusting it in normal mode, it doesnt increase the degree of the tilt.

This is really very surprising to me. Not everyone is the same height or sits in the same position which makes having a fixed degree of tilt completely pointless. It would almost make "more" sense not to have the tilt feature. One less feature to malfunction.

LOL!! Thanks for the suggestions guys. Oh and thanks, I am fully aware that my seat moves up and down. My seat is already as low as it goes and my head is very close to touching the roof as it is.

Also, the gentleman who said "lean forward," I assume that is a joke. I think... I hope! If so, LOL.

Tried this. I think I saw that post you made. However, after making the adjustment it didn't save in to memory.

Here was my order of steps...

1.) Foot on brake.
2.) With foot still applied to brake, put car in R.
3.) Wait for mirror to adjust to automatic degree level.
4.) Manually adjust mirror down.
5.) Put car in park and remove brake.
6.) Put car back in R with foot on brake and the mirror goes back to old setting.

Any ideas?

Did you resave the personal settings on the door ?? This whole thing is news to me but any adjustments you make, you need to resave ...
