I believe it is, when I go int BT menu, the little yellow line is on, on the auto-connect, and when i start the car, it always says the connection has failed which should be it is trying to auto connect?

ok, then it's on, sounds like issues with the phone

i have the 8320, just went into bluetooth options and checked, see if your settings match mine, shouldn't be that much different than the 8330

discoverable: yes
allow outgoing calls: always
connect on power up: yes
and all of the services are checked

Yeah, make sure your phone is not denying the connection. I use the 8330 with my GS350 and have no issues.

Have a look at the screen of your phone after turning the car on. It might be prompting you.

I went into the Bluetooth options on my fine and made sure they were all checked to yes, I it still doesn't auto-connect, i have to go to register on the Lex BT options each time and connect manually with the phone and then it works?

DO you have an 06?
My wife is having the same problem.
Everything worked fine with the Razor.
The Curve works fine when connected but it doesn't auto connect everytime the car is started. Same issue you're having. I shouls connect it to my 07 GS to see if the problem is consistent.

I had the same problems with my curve and recently the bold. Here is the simple way i solved it.

I cleared out the memory of devices stored on the phone and on the car. I then redid the passcodes for the car and the cell phone to connect. Once I did that..everything worked smoothly.

I also noticed that if i decide to turn on the bluetooth later while im drivine (i tend to forget about the CA law) it states that the phone and the car fails, but will connect successfully in the next couple of seconds.

If you go to the Hands Free device property it should say trusted, you can either type Yes for it to automatically connect or ask. I hit ask so my 8830 asks for my authorization to connect every time I get in my car. You have to go to bluetooth mode and check for phones and when its done, it asks do you wanna retry say no, then click on hands free , then device properties. When I say Hands Free thats how my GS is named on my phone. I hope this helps. Good luck.
