Call me carzy but when I pay $50000+ for a car, I expect it to be rattle free, at least for the first years. My old GX470 never had rattles after 4 years, my old LS never had rattles after 3 years and my old Acura Legend never had rattles in 5 years. Not all my pass cars were rattle free, but for the most part, it wasnt a wide spread rattle problem. Lexus use to be built solid, no rattles after many miles. So much for build on pass experience.

Oh yeah my '06 GS300 AWD had the rattles bad. Got them fixed at the dealer under warranty so far about 3 months rattle free. Only time will tell if they stay away. And to agree with Dunnojack my wife drives the car more than I so she'll never complain about rattles, she didn't even noticed them before I got them fixed.

Are you sure that you're not talking about my wife? Her tire were totally flat and she kept driving until sombody flag her down. Her response was that she thought the roads was leaning to one side and that's why the steering wheel was off alot....

Well..I guess I'm joining this 'prestigious' club. The dash on my '07 with 12,500 miles started to rattle about a month ago and is getting progressively worse. I had hoped to have it corrected upon my visit to the dealer to correct the fuel related TSB, but I don't think I can wait that long. It's embarrassing having a client in the car with the noticable dash rattling. Astonished that even on a four week old asphalt paved road, the dash rattles a bit.

FWIW, It takes about five minutes (2-3 miles) of city driving first thing in the morning before the dash starts singing.

I notice its not so much the bumps on the road that cause the rattle on the dash, its more an issue with the chassis twisting. It almost seem like the chassis is not stiff enough and the dash board is scraping against the fire wall. I can create the creaking noise when I turn into my drive way at higher speed than normal.

Gman is definitely correct...the bumps does cause it to rattle also but when you turn it most definitely rattles a lot due to the chassis.
