2) I already checked and this car does not have the ipod connector. The Lexus dealership is going to install it for me. Will I be able to control the ipod using the factory audio/navigation screen, considering the ipod will be connected in the glove compartment?

3) Should I use the standard Lexus ipod connector or buy this one from ebay and have them install it? Or do they work the same?

1) it's options i believe. look a the roof and see if there is the shark fin, if not, then you don't have it. it will be quite some work to add it i think

2) depends on which ipod connector they are installing. there are a few around. but if it's the "right" one, yes you can control it through nav screen

3) the one on ebay is vaistech unit, they are vendor here, look at the vendor forum for more info. a lot of members here have their products and they work great.

Yes you can control it from the radio controls on the steering wheel or the audio/navi screen.

I have the Viasatech unit in my car (they are a vendor here so check for the sale they have going on). Its okay. I was expecting more from it. It sits in my car and I haven't used it as much as I thought I would. Not sure if there is any benefit from the dealer version.
