just wanted to know which kind of oil does everyone use on their gs?
is it Synthetic oil?
and which brand?

I usually use Mobil 1 fully synthetic (not EP) 5w-30 and change it and filter every 5k miles. However, Mobil 1 has been kinda scarce lately at WalMart so I used Castrol Syntec 5w-30 this last oil change.

the car doesn't "require" synthetic, but i use mobil 1 as well. a bit more expensive, and i feel better for my car

I use 5W-30 Synthetic, the "On Sale" brand. Changed it every 15K miles or once a year on all my other cars. I have a '94 Mercedes with 155K miles. Recently replaced the head gasket on it, the engine was virgin clean inside. I guess, it works.

I don't think so. But there is no reason not to use synthetic, because it is by far better and healthier for the engine then the conventional oil.

I use 5w-20 or 5w-30 full synthetic... brand doesn't matter too much to me... as long is it's not SuperTech... there has to be some reason that stuff is $10 less than all the other full synthetics.
