vibrations.
i had one of my friends drive my car today and see what he thinks of the vibration that i have. he said that i get a vibration on idle because when the car goes in to gear the idle drops a lot. he told me to ask on the form on how to reset the ecu. does any one know how to do that or if i should do that. the other thing he said is he thinks my springs on to soft that might be causing the vibration. he weighs 220 plus with me in the car and on the highway the vibrations were heavier by a lottt. what do you guys think?

to reset the ECU disconnect the battery for ~ 30 min or pull the fuse for the ECU. That will reset it for you. Are you RWD or AWD and what are you lowered on? I felt this with my car and found out I had 2 bent rims. Replaced then both and still had run flats and the ride was smooth as butter. If your roads are anything like the are here make sure they are balanced and that there is nothing wrong and check the alignment also.

i am awd and i am dropped on tein h tech springs. the vibrations were really bad when my friend was driving the car and its not like that when i am alone in the car. it could be the teins are to soft and maybe i need stiffer springs. i did everything with balances alignments e.t.c
i am gonna put my stock springs back on Wednesday :/
p.s i am on stocks also right now.

shouldnt be the springs. are your OEM rims bent by any chance? any way you can check or have a tech after hours throw them on to just see. The fact the springs are soft or stiffer wont cause the car to vibrate. I did read that the AWD cars vibrate more when lowered and nothing you can do about that. If thats what the problem is then your OEM springs will make it go away.
Let an AWD driver that is lowered chime in and explain.

i nibbed a curb last year and had lexus replace my hub bearing and both side wheels were wobbling. they changed it and i also took the car to another tire shop and have him rebalance all 4 wheels again. he would of seen if them rim had a slant wouldn't he. that slight vibration on idle doesn't bother me i can get around that, but its like when u hit the gas the car picks up with a tremble. i had the tech at lexus look at my car and test it like 8 times already. i believe he is frustrated with me already lol. when i had my friend drive the car as he was hitting the the gas hard there was a slight bounce on the road getting on to the highway and it felt like once the car hit that dip while accelerating the vibration got deeper on the dip and less as it went back up.
what springs were or are you on that you have no vibrations ? i would love to pin point this problem because its been bugging me out for the past few months. i don't know what else to do but put my stocks and see the results. I DON'T WANT THAT HIGH LOOK DAMNN.
THEY NEED TO MAKE COILOVERS FOR THE AWD GS ALREADY..

Same with the STI, just lived with that, lol, it wasn't too bad though!
How much does is it vibrate?
Also try to clean your MAF sensor if it is running below 600rpm at idle!
I also hate the fact that Lexus Techs get frustrated at you, hahahahaha, there just to replace parts and go home everyday, they can't solve anyones problems!

you say you get vibration when accelerating.
are you sure the vibration is not due to front wheel drive and traction control together?
on AWD models, do the front wheels kick in when accelerating?
if trac is trying to stop wheel spin in the front wheels, you might feel vibration.
what happens when you turn trac/vsc off?
