Default Help buying Lexus GS 2006

I was looking for some feedback on purchasing an 06 gs 300. I'm looking at an 06 cpo 25k miles with nav/back up camera ML sound dealer asking around $30,000. The other is also a 06 cpo but has no navi or ML but has only 15k miles and asking around same price $30,000. Which do you think is a better deal, they are both off lease, clean title, etc. Thanx

If theyre asking the same price then get the one with the extra package.......if miles are a concern for you then get the low mileage car

I would go with the lower miles. Also you may want to check the manufacture date and vin to see if it is in the series of those that have rattling problems.

Both are good deals. I paid just over 30 for my CPO 06' and it had 34,000 miles on it. This was right before the economy really took a ****, I should have waited and gotten a better deal

I would definitely get the Nav one, you might not think you need it, but it always comes in handy and beats using map quest or an external GPS. For the same price, its a no brainer, like Rom said, i would only offer, 25-27K for that car, you could probably pull off a 430 for less than 30 as well.

Cars are NOT selling in this recession. Go to the bluebook/NADA and obtain the lowest wholesale price and offer a couple of thousand less than that. You may get it at that price if you do NOT have a trade in.

That's not true at all. Used car sales have picked up and auction prices have firmed up over the past two months. Dealers are picking up off lease 06 GS300 AWD's at auction for around $23-27K (depending on miles and options). No way you can get them to sell you one for under NADA or KBB wholesale if they recently purchased it at acution.

And lets not forget that car prices are much lower on the west and east coast due to competition vs the midwest dealers.

I would think you can do better then 30k when many are getting the same car GS430 loaded for 30k-35k. I may be wrong but I would assume the GS300 with similar options would be less??

I agree with the rest both cars have no miles on them and a car that should run forever if you take care of it.

Post back with pics of the new ride

Yeah, its not like the dealers have a shortage of used GS. Actually the opposite is true, they seem to have more and more used cars.
