MPG - Standard vs PWR
#2
God...I hope my MPG cannot get any worse....it's currently at 14.6. That's 100% city driving on the PWR setting with occasional "aggressive" driving. AWD is supposed to get worse MPGs, but can't be that much difference.

MPG on PWR
I have been running in PWR mode for two or three tanks now and noticed very little (if any) change in MPG. If I'm on the HWY, I get about 27, mixed, 22, city 21. I do notice that when in PWR mode, under braking, the transmission will immediately downshift...does anyone else notice that? so basically, in regular mode, if I'm coming to a stop, I use the brake and the car coasts down to 0. If I'm in PWR mode, i can feel the downshifts and the car appears to engine brake as well.

My 07 GS350 RWD gets ~15L/100km = 15.68 MPG, that is all city driving. Although, I only drive 7 mins to get to work. This is all in normal mode.

I think there is no difference in MPG between normal and "ECT" mode. The only thing that I can think of that may affect the MPG would be the driving style of the driver, and since when it's on power mode we tend to be more spirited drivers (at least I am). I get about 21-22 on city, and 29-30 on hwy.
