Default Washer Fluid Nozzles Stop Working

Have about 8k on my GS350 now and my nozzles stop working on me at the most critical times and cannot see the road. Have only noticed them not working in cold weather but I thought the nozzles were heated.

Couple questions...

Are the nozzles heated?
If so, are others experiencing the same behavior and should I have Lexus look at it?

If they are not heated I guess there isn't anything I can do. I have just owned a lot of cars and have never had this issue before now.

Puzzled.

ur fluid might be frozen due to someone adding water to it, or ur nozzles are clogged.

Default Me Too!

I have the same or similar problem on my '07 GS 350 w/20k miles. The washer fluid just barely spurts out. The only way for me to get the windshield cleaned while driving is to just hold the activation lever in continuously for about 20 seconds. The action of the wipers eventually pushes the fluid up far enough onto the window to clean the entire footprint of the wipers.

I, too, would appreciate any hints on how to correct this situation.

get it fixed at the dealers

you can tell the GS was never cold-weather tested.

shame on toyota.

when they made the AWD GS for winter climates, they put on springs, and discovered the front wheels were too high.
they looked at it, and said "oh well.... "

LOL well said...

mine froze up too, and the service guy told me the washer fluid had frozen in there. [supposedly] he flushed out the fluid i had and put in some stuff rated to -20 F or so and everything was fine... until the next morning lol.

LOL! Nice. So it sounds like I shouldn't even bother with the dealer.

Lexus, this car is not AT ALL ready for the winter. Don't even get me started on the cold weather symphony I get to enjoy while driving on anything less than a perfect flat road in sub 30 degree temperatures.

it's usually frozen right at the opening of the nozzle, if you can get a toothpick or something equivalent to move the 'ice' out of the way it usually solves the problem temporarily

i guess it's not cold enough in japan...... unlike in germany

average daytime temps for japan are 49F and above all year round, according to weather.com

so they probably never heard the winter symphony, or ever had the frozen nozzle syndrome.

Most car manufactures take their cars to a very cold part of the Earth to test new vehicles out. I am pretty sure it's the North Pole but I could be mistaken.

There was a GS owner here from Alaska, I wonder how his GS is doing up there.
