like burn a bunch of music video files in avi/mpeg so i can play it on my car
i guess i can use nero to convert them into dvd files then maybe it can read, but i just want to know if anyone has tried it so i don't start wasting blank dvds

^ I am not sure how the DVD on the GS will work, but from other cars I know that you have to mod it in order to have it play videos while driving. Simple mod but require some electronic skills.

DVD's are formatted as .VOB while VCD's are formatted as .avi so I don't see any reason why the player won't play .avi files while it'll play vcd's. Best is to look for a program that will change your files to a vob file. Lots of free programs online. Just have to search in the right place. Once I get home, I'll post the program that im using.

Perhaps I am stating the obvious, but because of compression (or lack thereof), once you convert to MPEG2 .vob files you will only be able to store about 2 hours of video on a single layer DVD. (4.7 GB of video in xvid/divx MPEG4 format will yield significantly more than 2 hours of video.) But that's why we have 6 DVD changers right?
