Default 06 GS430 20 Wheel/Tire Fitment

Hi Guys,

I recently put on the following set up on stock springs and experiencing rubbing in rear with one or more passengers in rear. Very annoying rubbing in rear over the smallest bumps with only one passenger in rear!!

MRR HR2
Front 20X8.5 225/35/20
Rear 20X9.5 275/30/20

I do not know the offset, but these wheels are pretty popular with the car.
I just cannot sacrifice rear seats for bigger wheels. Please help.

without the offsets really little can be told

but you do have overspec tires so that's a problem in most cases already. check to see if it's rubbing the place right where the bumper meets the quarter panel. also, if you want, try take off the black trim around the fender and see if that helps

The rub occur right where bumper meets the quarter panel. I did take out the trim on the fenders.. but still rubs with rear passenger.

in that case i think it's the overspec tires. 275/30 on 9.5 is pretty wide, i guess that probably cause the tires to be pretty square around the edge, and with the offset of the wheels, you are having the rubbing

what you can do is to shave off that metal piece where the bumper and the panel meet. keep in mind you can only shave it off that much, there is a screw / clip there to hold the bumper

I'm having the same problem in the rear with 20x10 255-30/20 lowered on tanabe.

It seems to only rub when i hit a dip in the road. I removed the rear plastic piece where the quarter panel and fender meet and it helped a bit. I also noticed that it doesn't rub has easy with the sport setting on. GL let me know how you fix your prob bc i dont have my fenders rolled.

They rub when I have one or more passengers in the back. I am not doing anything with fenders. I will try to install spacers on rear springs. I will let you guys know.
