that's an option too. but for me i want my passenger to be able to override the system when i am driving, so i don't need to do that. that's why i opted to put it somewhere around the dash

Well thank you for this great information. I haven't even closed the deal yet on my GS300, and to have this option is just great. Maybe I missed this, but will having Sat radio installed by the dealer have any impact on this future setup?

Any tips on the sat radio. The dealer just said they charge $500.00 to have it work with the radio. ( The car has NAV, not sure if that makes a difference).

Thanks guys for the great news (IPOD and video).

We also have SAT radio adapter, we can do either XM or Sirius integrated into your Nav screen.

So do you really need the Prestigous Society or can I just do the by-pass.

you can do a bypass using the DIY i wrote up, I have done a bunch and no problems to date. If you are at all concerned about your abilities, voiding any of your electrical warranty, get the kit and rest assurred.

Where are you guys getting your movies? and vids to watch on the navi screen?

I've had my over ride and VAIS SLV2I for about a year now, and hardly use the video portion of it.

I'm thinking about upgrading but I don't know which kit to buy..

The SLV2i (video from iPod) or the VML (USB connection) from Vaistech... Which should I go for?

And yes, where do you get the videos from?

the vml doesn't have video, it's only audio. what you get is flexibiity to use usb. my problem with sl2vi is that for cars with ML, the unit is very expensive!

Correct that was my dilemma one that plays video or one that has the ability to connect audio by USB but no video.

I called Vaistech and since I have the ML system than the SL2VI won't work with it anyways... He said my only choice would be VML.
