you mean add factory setup? forget it, it will cost way too much. makes a lot more sense to just go aftermarket

no not factory setup, but use the non navi screen for an aftermarket unit. I guess my question is... is there an aftermarket navi brain that can connect and be viewed through a non navi gs screen?

i hope i didnt confuse the both of us lol... i know i know im a noob

i've never seen one.

but it would be cool if you could hook up a garmin, and output the screen to the factory screen

That would be very cool indeed. Anyone who is more knowledgeable with electronics want to chime in? I would love to see if it's capable, and if it's cost efficient.

I think you can get one of those navi (works w/ non navi screen too) video converters that cost about $300 that allows the screen to accept a composite signal. There are some aftermarket units that don't have their own screen with the sole intent to output.

I doubt it, since the screen is touch screen it also controls your hvac and audio controls. Sounds way too complicated and not worth it. Best way is to get $300/$400 tom tom and stick it to your windshield.
