That is why it makes more sense to get one used. They take a huge hit compared to Lexus when you drive the car off the lot.

when i browsed the IS forum, i heard the same complaints as with the GS.
so it seems both are about the same.
no, the interior does not break apart. don't worry.
GS owners are just more pissed off x2 because they paid more money for it.
and you know......... when we pay $50000 for a car, we expect it to drive like a trillion bucks.. we expect it to pamper us like kings. We want the engine to turn the oil into gold.
any small peep, blinking light, is unacceptable and intolerable.

Audi S7... if it looks anything like the concept.
Or, maybe (just maybe), if Lexus gets their ***** together and the next model of GS is everything this one wasn't, possibly just that o.O

I have a few years to wait...I keep my cars for 8-10 years....so 9 more years of rattles! Honestly rattles are much fewer now that I took the situation into my own hands and stuffed felt down the front of my windshield.
Moving ahead, I will watch the reliability data for BMW...the 5 series may be a contender. If the dash aesthetics start to improve in the BMW, this will be tempting....on the other hand I still think they are overpriced. I was close to a 5 series purchase when I realized my $50,000 car had pleather seats.
I know, I know...the "leatherette" is actually pretty good...dont flame me....I just expect real leather for $50,000! Anyone else find this crazy?
Also, I will give Lexus the chance to make improvements in the next generation...their reliability (yes others are closing in) is still hard to beat.
Believe me I will be watching these boards come 2017-2018 when it is time to replace this GS to check on the redesign efforts to solve rattles.

My next car will most likely be a minivan, preferably the next generation Honda Odyssey. I already have the modification list drafted.
It will not be the GS350's replacement though.
Edit: In July 2009, purchased Mazda CX-9 GT. Can't be happier with this wonderful family hauler/Sporty SUV and I managed to stay away from the minivan.

For my immediate next car, I'm looking at:
S2000 AP1
Early '90s NSX
But that's not to replace my GS, it's to replace my NA8 Miata.
For the GS replacement, I would be looking for something with 4WD/AWD and towing capacity, but not too big, so I can tow the little car to the track or go up the mountains during winter without putting chains on...
X5? Range Rover Sport? Venza? MDX?![Dunno](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/13879dunno.gif)

or scrap all that and put all my money in Citigroup
