3GS drivers, what will be your next car?

I have a few years to wait...I keep my cars for 8-10 years....so 9 more years of rattles! Honestly rattles are much fewer now that I took the situation into my own hands and stuffed felt down the front of my windshield.
Moving ahead, I will watch the reliability data for BMW...the 5 series may be a contender. If the dash aesthetics start to improve in the BMW, this will be tempting....on the other hand I still think they are overpriced. I was close to a 5 series purchase when I realized my $50,000 car had pleather seats.
I know, I know...the "leatherette" is actually pretty good...dont flame me....I just expect real leather for $50,000! Anyone else find this crazy?
Also, I will give Lexus the chance to make improvements in the next generation...their reliability (yes others are closing in) is still hard to beat.
Believe me I will be watching these boards come 2017-2018 when it is time to replace this GS to check on the redesign efforts to solve rattles.

Not much improvment for MB and BMW in the lastest JD power 3 year reliability report, Audi made the most improvement among the European cars.
I agree, BMW need to do something about their boring Interiors, the exterior are starting to get better ever since they stop letting Chris Bangle design their cars.
I actually think Lexus is over price now compare the Europeans. As a Lexus owner for more than 10 years, I remember the early Lexus as a real bargain compare to the Europeans, The early Lexus was build solid, quality was vey close to the Europeans, and price much lower.
I still dont understand why would anyone buy a $60000 car with a vinyl interior, I know its high quality vinyl, but none the less, its still vinyl.
My bet is that Lexus will resolve their rattle and quality problems, they will make improvement in the next few years. They already acknowlege their quality issues, thats is the 1st step to resolving it.

Is this rattilng issue universal? I've had my gs300 for 3 years this week and never once heard a rattle. Is this only in cold states? I'm in south florida, just wondering if everyone is experiencing this rattling issue???

After almost a year of driving the GS, I already wanted more, so I bought my RR Supercharged, which I should have just done in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I do like the 3GS and I don't have the rattle problem, but the brake squeak was killing my. FINALLY, Lexus has fixed it and I am much happier when I drive the GS, but it is my wife's car and in the end, it will probably not be a 4GS that will replace it.
If I have my way, in another year or two, it will be a Fisker Karma that will!

I plan on keeping mine for at least another 8 years. Would like a Lotus Elise, but not very practical, so hopefully the GS-F will be out by then. Since I live in the South, I don't have any rattle issues. The only irritating thing is that the rearview mirror vibrates.

When lease expires in 2011, would consider an F version of the GS if it will be available with AWD, but I'm not expecting that. I have driven the LS AWD and for me, it wouldn't be worth the extra $30k.
The car I didn't really get to consider this time around, but would the next time, would be the S-6, notwithstanding the overkill that a V-10 represents.

I am going to get the GTR and the LS460 on 22"s with the air suspension data systems controller. I will be balling on many different levels. LOL. NO j/k. I have to chose one or the other. funny, they are nothing alike.

No more lexus!!!! They've proved with 3rd gen they don't give !@#$ about owner complaints! Perfect example would be cracking noise from the dashboard. This was reported first year 3g came out, and they have done nothing about it.
My next car will be another hybrid, or hydrogen powered. It depends which one can deliver more power , and still preserve our environment, so my son/grand children can enjoy it the same way I do...

I'm fairly close to buying an '06/'07 GS350/430, and I haven't come across any widespread complaints aside from the dash rattles.
