But yeah, style-wise, I thought the G37 just murdered (in a bad way) the simple but elegant good looks of the G35.
What the hell is the difference in looks? They are clones.

He's probably comparing the 2nd gen G35/G37 to the 1st gen G35. Which then I would agree. The silver lip thing on the trunk is just fugly...

I think for me, it will be what is my 2nd car going to be. I think I was always own a GS or at least a Lexus. I have been a fan of the GS since 98 and finally got an 08, no car is perfect, but I do think its a really good car. Its offers the perfect blend of sport with luxury. Most of the cars mentioned do not give that Luxury feel. I would definitely get a 4th gen GS, as long as it wasn't really bad. If I ever did leave the GS family, I would love for a redesigned long body SC like the late 90's one with crazy HP, but thats probably not going to happen, so an LS will do. As a 2nd vehicle, other than the Lex i will always own, it would either be a Range Rover or new body M3 coupe. The 2nd vehicle line up could always change, but I will hopefully always have a Lex, unless my financial situation changes drastically.

Also, growing up listening to Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, Nas, Biggy, Cormega, and many others, Where Lexus and particulary GS was mentioned in almost every song, I guess it made me almost obessed with this car as a kid, the GS was huge in the late 90's in hip hop. These were guys that had millions driving around in a rimmed up GS, it couldn't get any better for me at that time. Just a little history, LOL.

Well I just got my GS350 this week but in a couple years I would like to have the new ISF, M3, or LS. I got a while before thinking more about it.

same here, for the kind of money spent i'd rather try something different.

hahaha if you are still looking for performance, get the f or some other sport car. it's just so different. i had the ls460l, and now we got the m3. the performance aspect is just so wow about. i still love the ls, but for what i want i think the m3 is putting a much bigger smile on my face

Yeah the GS is too similar to the the one I leased three years ago. True it has a better engine and a few different features but 95% of the public will think I am driving the same car especially if I get another Matador Red. The ironic thing is it might be cheaper for me to get another GS because of incentives from Lexus to keep me in a Lexus. Also, the lease deals on the 2009 G37's stink right now, but then again the GS lease deals aren't exactly smoking either. In addition it seems like dealers have fewer of the GS's in stock.

If you are going to lease, you might as well go for the Audi S5

No, I am paying no where near that for my GS. I was saying the S5 lease was about $950 last time I checked. The A5 was in around $750 or so.

Definitely not clones. I'm talking about the arguably subtle (I think significant) changes made to the car's styling between 2006 and 2007. I thought this was when they all switched from G35 to G37, but maybe the sedan was still a G35. I don't follow Inifinitis closely.
