Default From IS to GS, great upgrade!

We took delivery of our GS (immaculate, low mileage Lease return, 06 AWD, SGM, Grey w/Black) this weekend. Stepped back one year from an 07 IS, and couldn't be happier. I must say, the GS certainly has class and presence. In our area, a GS is rare enough that it is getting a lot of looks. I've learned a a great deal by reading this forum and it helped master some of the set-ups that I accomplished this weekend, especially the Bluetooth - thanks a lot!

Orzel, welcome to the GS forum, you will find the GS forum a little more interesting than the RX forum

Thanks G Man, already have! Lots of good pointers here on how to do things, and there were several comments that I printed for help while sitting in the GS trying to understand how things work. Still have yet to figure out this Optitron instrument lighting thing though....

Sure is a far cry from our IS, and dramatically different from the RX!

No such thing as an old grunt. Just slightly slower than you were a couple of years ago!! LOL Airborne leads the way. I'm not Army any longer. I was with the 1st SFG. Nothing like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane! Enjoy the new car and hoo-ah

Changed from an IS to a GS last month as well.

Like the bigger platform and still looks great.
Not as sporty as the IS but still a beauty.

Yeah, a "little" slower, with lots of gray hair, bad knees, and lots of scars! CIB awarded in 1969 so I'm sure you can figure that one out! Still have to agree, nothing like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, what a rush! Hoo-Ah! Airborne Sir, all the way!

I've spent weeks on trying to decide which one of the two to get. I loved, and still love, the looks of the IS, but wanted the comfort of the GS. Two months ago I went ahead and bought a GS350 AWD from an '08 unsold inventory. I still doubted, every now and then, whether I'd made the right choice. Now sounds like I did. Thanks for the assurance, guys.

congrats on the new ride. The GS is a mans car. The IS is entry level and looks clearly like a smushed baby GS. You just went out and got the real deal

Those aluminium face gauges on the GS are some of the best I have ever seen in a car in this price range.
