Default Intake Options for 2006 GS300

What are my intake options on a 2006 GS300?

Which one produces the best HP gains?

IMO, considering the MINIMAL HP gains(if any-totally conflicting scientific data) vs. $$ cost, Id rather stick to stock unless you are considering a Full engine work-up, intake, full exhaust, re-mapping ecu, etc...etc..).
BTW be weary of "oiled" type intake filters which may mess up your MAF sensor.

I heard dyno charts showed 18hp gains on the GS350. Are you telling me this is much less with the 2006 GS300 ?

ok......the K&N Typhoon filter claim that they can increase 18HP on their website. I have those install on my 07 GS350 and I can really feel like the car pulls a bit harder right after 3500rpm.......so I personally think that K&N are great. But I am really hoping that SRT can come out with something soon for the 3GS.

There are several options for an intake. I have the 300 as well, and I can personally say that the gains are minor. I can feel a short burst between 3500 and 4000rpms but nothing major. The only reason why I bought an intake is for the aggressive sound. The 300 sounds like an electric car with the stock intake You can buy the HKS intake (most expensive), Fujita SRT (I have it cost about 275ish). Or just make your own (which would be cheapest). If you really want an intake them by all means go for it, but its nothing that you absolutely need, an exhaust will compliment the intake as well

I agree, it is mainly placebo. There are TONS of independent/impartial scientific tests done on aftermarket "cold" air intake, research and you will know the real figures.
I don't easily fall for self performance test claims (which are normally embellished).
