Default NAV TV Video Converter

hey i have a 2006 gs300 no nav and no ml i installed the vais siruis interface and was wondering if i install this would i be able to hook up a dvd player or an mp4 video player to it andbody tried this i know they have the vais ipod video interface but i rather hook up a dvd player instead http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...id=p2759.l1259

those things are ****... i used to install and i dude brought me one for his denali with nav and the thing worked ......for about a week then the picture quality droped then it had lines on the screen...... then just green would show up.... And since you dont have Nav. I dont think there is a video-in into the screen on the factory system

you dont need nav to have a screen input.....not on the current GS

I think if you had a poor experience with one, it does not mean all their units are the same.

To the OP, you should try it, many people ask and no one here has tried it yet...

we have a vendor on here that sells them also. They are good, I had one in another make car that didnt have DVD with the Navi. Had a switch to toggle from Navi to DVD. I want to make the ML - DVD play on more monitors.

Nice thing with the converter is you can run a few monitors off the one input and the glove box looks to be perfect on the GS for a DVD player for this.

You can do this or any local custom stereo shop.

thats why i asked i know the sl2vu would work but it only gives you 1 output on video this give 3 outputs so i can switch from dvd to mp4 and so on just worried about the hook up as for im allready using my 12pin plug for sls im sure i can y it off like they do on the vais kewl thanks for all your help you convinced me oh btw whos the vendor

just hook it up took about an hr did the yellow wire mod and ran the wire through my glove box ran an extra wire for my omnia works like a charm now im just waiting for my omnia video out cable and wala i got nav as well picture looks real smooth 2 and the surround sound is amazing thanks alot nav-tool heres some pix
