I have avoided a body kit because I am worried about color match. I am really picky and have had nightmare situations before
Color match is the easy part relatively speaking. I'm more worried about the fact that it's fiber glass. Japanese fiber glass is normally a PITA (Pain in the a$$) for fitment. Getting everything to sit flush and look factory will be difficult. I just hope I won't have to do a lot of filling on the kit. Wish me luck when I get home guys!!
^^ that shouldnt really matter. good quality kits usually fit good, even fiberglass.
I hope you're right on that one. My experience and I've had a lot with Japanese fiberglass has not been so good. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed though.
For those that are interested. The kit came in yesterday and the car and kit have been dropped off at the body shop already. Here are some pics of the kit.
There are a couple of others in my gallery if interested.
Chris,
Definitely gonna look sick Are you going to do a two-tone paint job or just a solid color? You will be the envy of this forum with that Kit
Thanks for all your help!
RG
Hey Ron,
Yes Sir, two-tone for sure. I am doing body color of course on most of the car but, I am adding flat black in a couple of areas to add some texture and make some of the areas pop hopefully if it all comes together like I think it will. We will see how it goes though. You'll get the first pics by order of Jay! Lol
