TSIB Dustless brake pad, few questions for those who have them
Hey,
About 3 weeks ago I got the dustless brake pad TSIB done on my GS 450h and until this day I wonder if you guys are experiencing the same thing.
I still get as much brake dust as I did before, my wheels still become dusty just after a short drive around town, question is, are you guys still experiencing this?
Let me know before I bring this up with the dealer.

I had the dustless type installed by the dealer also "NO DUST" now, but braking no where near as good for whatever reason ?
Could the dustless type prematurely wear down the rotors ?
At this point I'm thinking I should have put up with the OEM dust..no big deal as i clean the car weekly anyhow !!

If you are still getting the same amount of brake dust, are you certain the dealership put the "dustless" pads on?? In my experience, it's more like "less dust" than "dustless." Instead of the brake dust showing up after a day or two with the original pads, it's slowly accumulates over time. As far as braking performance, for me it took nearly 5k miles for the pads and rotors to get bedded in with each other to equal the performance as before the switch.

I recently got my pads replaced too. Initially I wasn't complaining about the dust but the annoying squealing that took place at low speeds. I was never able to replicate the problem at the dealership so they looked at me crazy. The only way they would change my brakes is if I complained about the obvious dust rather than the inconsistent squealing. It has been about 4 weeks now, are there dust on my wheels? Absolutely. Is it much less than before? Possibly. Is the squealing gone? YES! =D Did I notice losing the braking distance on my brakes? Not at all. Did I confirm the pads were dustless? Well that is what it said on the invoice.
I can from an S2000 where the brake dust would be there after a couple hours washing a car so I don't mind it that much. I plan on putting on the OEMs when the time arrives.

I had the brakes changed a few months ago, and I noticed a huge difference... I takes over a week for my wheels to get real dirty... Last month I did notice some squeals every time I braked after turning on my car but it went away after a couple of weeks... No complaints so far besides that random squeal...
