Once again, as some people mentioned, park your car next to the wall and turn your car off and on with lights on. Your lights should be moving horizontally and vertically. It might be an optical illusion but I see them moving --><-- and then <----> on my 430. Your lights are constructed of two beams like this ___:”””””. Watch them closely and you will see them moving horizontally if your AFS system is working/exist on 300. Make sure that your AFS system is not off as well.

Good luck

i will need to do that again and see. i still think it only moves up and down (and same for my ls460l). on the RX though it's different, it moves up and down, as well as left and right. that's why when i first saw it i was like wow cool, why it doesn't do that on the gs

I am afraid you are incorrect. I have an 08 GS350. No AFS, no headlight washers and no rain sensing wipers. I just don't have that package. When I was buying the car, I wanted the rain sensing wipers, but the dealer told me that it only comes in a package. I did some research and yes, he was right.

On my wife's RX w/AFS, when you start the car they move up/down AND left right. I didn't realize the GS is different.

You are correct, the rain-sensing wipers option includes adaptive front lighting system and headlamp washers.
