Exclamation Different Brakes Between AWD & RWD?!

So I was looking into getting drilled/slotted rotors for my 07 AWD. Turns out there is no part/pricing available from Jay (vendor) for front rotors. Is this correct?! I've always thought the brakes are the same and therefore swappable between the AWD & RWD 3GS... Thanks.

One thing I remembered was that there's a size difference between V6 and V8 for MY08+ is that correct?

-----

Jay just called Stop Tech and told me that Stop Tech said the brakes are different between AWD and RWD...

So it's the MY06 V6 that has smaller brakes?

As for the difference, I'm not sure.

You replaced the whole set-up right? I can't think of anyone else who's replaced their brakes on top of my head...

I'm looking for OEM size.

Drilled/slotted rotors to replace the stock ones.

did you check with your lexus parts dept to see if the front oem rotor for your awd is the same part # as the front oem rotor for the rwd? if it's the same part number, then you know that the same rotor is used, and can be confident to use aftermarket front rotors for rwd application for your awd.

Correct GS 300 is the only one with 2 piston front brakes. Every other GS has the big 4 piston front brakes.

To my knowledge all rears are the same.

Good point. I'll check then. Thanks!

No other AWD owners care about aftermarket rotors?!

Default brakes

don't really use brakes much. put 49K on a corvette that had been upgraded and never had to change them. the only time I ever had to change brakes is when I left the emergency brake on going 35 mph down the highway for awhile

Thanks. I assume all 4? It's too bad that the 06 brakes are different from mine...
