its NOT your car or xm unit its the garbage antenna both the black one and shark fin are the same. I ran my black antenna out my window and put it dead center on my roof for ****s and giggles and it still cuts out... but my buddy with a 07 cobalt following the same path in his car told me the same channel never cuts out.

I have also noticed that even with my dads portable xm unit in his truck it cuts out way more then it used to in the mountains almost every 30 seconds compared to every hour for 30 sec . XM has down sized a bit and i bet any money there cutting cost on there satellite service

Post XM Radio problem

I have a 2008 IS250 and experienced the same problem. It happens when I manually change the stations using the tuning ****. Turning it off and on didn't fix it. I was going to go the dealership to get it checked out and decided to try stopping the car and restarting it to see if it fixed it (Engineer's first attempt to fix something). It worked fine after that. Problem is...how do you show this problem to the dealership unless you don't stop the car upon arriving there? Once the car is stopped and restarted, the problem isn't there any more. I suspect it's some type of timing problem within the unit that crops up when tuning into a new station. Comments...
