4k wow.. I had a Camaro and was out by time 3-4 months but under the mi. limit. They covered an issue without me even asking.

Call up another dealer and ask them. Say I'm over by a few k miles. Can you help.

If your projector head light bulb burnt out, ie your main head light then the bulb size is a d4s

have you tried a different dealership? The hard times are making some dealerships do some questionable things to stay afloat.

How can you compare rock chips to parts
do u really think they cover everything? cause they don't that's not what bumper to bumper means, it means things that are defective, that shouldn't break in that time. do they cover oil changes? no. do they cover tires? no. do they cover wiper blades? no. do they cover cracked windshields? no. do they cover your 5k, 15k, 30k, ect. services? no. because stuff happens, it is called wear and tear. that is ridiculous if you think a dealer is going to cover that under warranty.

now, on the other hand, if an hid ballast goes out after having the car for 6 months, they will most likely have to fix it, as it should last longer than that. if a wiper motor stops, they will have to fix it, if your motor is leaking oil, they will have to fix it. but maintenance, not a chance. you may be thinking of an extended service plan, which most cars do not come with(including ours) but not a warranty.

this is a good idea for some warranty claims, some dealers may try to help u out to get your business, but at the same time, they definitely don't have to do it, and most likely wont. as it is which ever comes first, 4 year or 50k miles.

400 for a bulb is a total rip off. 8 buck part

also, these are not even the right bulb.

like previously stated, they are d4s hid bulbs, and will run around $60-$120 a pair online.

Okay, I will man up on the wrong part. I should have verified the part search returned OEM parts. My bad.

The warranty some correct and some not:
Here I think you need to read your Owner’s Manual Supplement.
Tires are covered, just not by Lexus. They carry a tire manufacture’s warranty and are specified as such. BTW, The OEM Yokohama tire that comes on the GS 430 has a 4 yr manufacture defect warranty and Lexus could work through them if they wish. However, you are better off going elsewhere for tire issues.

They state washer blades are a maintenance item, but most places will cover the blades as in most places in the US they will and should last 4 years. Maybe in a place were things are baked like AZ, this is not the case. The housing for the blade is not a maintenance item. If paint peals off or a pin comes lose, it should be covered.

Windshields: Again, they are covered for manufacture defects, not comprehensive damage. Windshields can delaminate.

The blub, we all know that bulb should last four years. It is covered. Same as your 50 cent ones inside the cabin. If they say otherwise call Lexus. Why would Lexus use a bulb that is not rated to last the term of the warranty? The bulb should be classified as a defect.

Battery, It is covered. This should be a four year min battery.

Brake pads are a wear item. You notice I did not mention them right?

The wiper blades may last 4 years but I would replace them every year after an icy and snowy winter...

Oh, forgot about the other extreme. I had a GM car that had the original blades from 1995 on it when I traded it in 2005. They were like new. But no extremes here most of the time.
