I thought the bulbs were easily replaceable at Pepboys or any chain autopart store... but no..... they are nowhere to be found...
turns out i can only get them from lexus, and they are charging me 400 dollars Including Installation....

How far out of warranty are you? Dang, figured they would cover you even it your are out just a little.
Update: As Iocca pointed out, the search did not return OEM part replacements. ugg. Sorry.
400 for a bulb is a total rip off. 8 buck part

Check our vendors you can easily find a replacment D4S bulb there. Installation can be a little tricky but not impossible. I would NOT pay $400...it shouldn't cost you more than 80-100 with install.

dude, you have HID, of course you are not gonna find replacements bulbs at Pep boys.. come on..
just get them from ebay, they sell oem parts all the time

here you go.. but you should always change hid bulbs in pairs due to color shift.
do it yourself and save the money, i can change the bulb in 45 seconds.

i know,
i popped the hood and tried to disengage the bulb myself, but some parts were in the way,
I think it can be pulled out if i unscrew some parts...
the lexus dealer said that Bulbs are wear and tear and is not covered under warranty anyways...
but yeah.. im out of warranty... sucks...
anyways, this sucks!

check vendors here (mobilehid or xenon depot), or go look at ebay for d4s bulbs. there are tons of them for cheap
as long as you know how to change the bulbs it's good. keep in mind this is hid, it's not normal halogen where you just twist and pull. there are the base plug, then the clip. and yes you need to shuffle stuff in the engine bay to gain access

Im sure that was just a figure of speech.

However, someone stated this is not covered when under warranty. It appears some dealers are changing what is covered by a bumper to bumper. He clarified he was no longer under warranty when he answered my question. Geee, please…
