How far out of warranty are you? Dang, figured they would cover you even it your are out just a little.

Update: As Iocca pointed out, the search did not return OEM part replacements. ugg. Sorry.

400 for a bulb is a total rip off. 8 buck part

Check our vendors you can easily find a replacment D4S bulb there. Installation can be a little tricky but not impossible. I would NOT pay $400...it shouldn't cost you more than 80-100 with install.

Seriously?!

My service tech replaced some bulbs (fog and parking) on mine when I took it in for an oil change for free!

dude, you have HID, of course you are not gonna find replacements bulbs at Pep boys.. come on..

just get them from ebay, they sell oem parts all the time

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PHILI...Q5fAccessories

here you go.. but you should always change hid bulbs in pairs due to color shift.

do it yourself and save the money, i can change the bulb in 45 seconds.

i know,

i popped the hood and tried to disengage the bulb myself, but some parts were in the way,

I think it can be pulled out if i unscrew some parts...

the lexus dealer said that Bulbs are wear and tear and is not covered under warranty anyways...

but yeah.. im out of warranty... sucks...

anyways, this sucks!

check vendors here (mobilehid or xenon depot), or go look at ebay for d4s bulbs. there are tons of them for cheap

as long as you know how to change the bulbs it's good. keep in mind this is hid, it's not normal halogen where you just twist and pull. there are the base plug, then the clip. and yes you need to shuffle stuff in the engine bay to gain access

bulbs are always tear and wear item, personally i don't expect my dealerships to cover it. if they do, it's just good will. it's like saying leather tear or paint chips during warranty, i don't see how that's covered

you are to nice. Bumper to bumper is exactly that. Bulbs, Battery, wiper blades.. that is bumper to bumper. If a dealer charges you, they are stealing as Lexus pays them for these parts. That is covered under the original 4 yr 50k warranty.

How can you compare rock chips to parts

If you can change a headlight bulb in 45 seconds, you need to show the rest of us how that is done.

Im sure that was just a figure of speech.

i was able to open it all da way, i just need to disengage the bulb from the housing... im sure its just plug; like any other bulbs .. just more expensive..

No one said he was..
However, someone stated this is not covered when under warranty. It appears some dealers are changing what is covered by a bumper to bumper. He clarified he was no longer under warranty when he answered my question. Geee, please…
