WOW !!! I'm 54.
I am surprised most of the owners here are in their 20's !!!
I suspect the average IS owner age is even lower.
When I was in my 20's I bought a 2 year old Cadillac for 1/2 price,
a new Celica GTA, a new Supra, a new Trans Am but nothing as nice
or EXPENSIVE as a new Lexus GS.
Most of the clientele at my local Lexus dealer are 60+.

The young people love to post/brag how "young" they are in this polls. Which is fine. That said I would look more at the poll and not the posts. Even then I find older people skip these polls.
The other part is younger people are more likely to search/join an internet forum like Clublexus whereas older people will buy/lease their GS and they are content. Thus more young people will be a part of the forum and will vote more.
Hope this helps
FYI I'm 31

Tommy having seen countless polls like this over the years here and in other forums what happens is simple;

And that's the main thing...
You can take very little (and really nothing beyond the boundaries of the forum) from these types of polls, but people try to anyway.
Official stats seem hard to come by, but I found an article on the Lexus' age profile as approaching the same state that Cadillac was in several years ago. The article was primarily about the how the IS was Lexus' attempt to attract younger buyers. It included stats directly from a Lexus exec (and unfortunately didn't include the GS). I can't guarantee the exact numbers, but as best as I can recall, the average age on the IS buyer was 42, the ES was 61, and the LS was 65+.
Again these numbers came straight from a Lexus exec's mouth in an interview, yet the forum response was "No way, I bet the IS average age is in the 20's. I only see really young people driving IS's!"
The fact is that a significant factor in buying power is age, in the aggregate. The tendency is for more buying power to come with age, and a car (pretty much any car) with a sticker range of $45-60K is going to have an average buyer age broadly around 50 yrs.
You could do a poll here or on other internet forums to find the gender of owners. Although I don't know how many women are here, I think you'd find something in the high 90s% male ownership, but just like age, it wouldn't tell you anything beyond the boundaries of the forum.
44, married, 1 child, degreed, homeowner
