Default GS300 - what price should I offer?

Hello everyone...i'm trying to join the GS family.

The car is a 2006 GS300 with Nav/ML
38,000 miles
CPO at Lexus Dealer
Lexus Website Price: $29,988.

What do you think I can buy the car for? Prices on the Lexus dealer sites always seem very high compared to others, so I'm wondering how much room they have.

Thanks!

I think it is worth somewhere from 23-27 based on overall condition...and added options as well...for instance I have a gs300 with 53k miles, 100k mile warranty, nav ml, tints, chrome gs460 18s, new brakes tires, dent free car and I think its fair market is around 26k....that gets you in the ballpark....your car has less miles by a fair amount....comes with a non-transferable warranty (in case you decided to sell in a year or two), probably has the base 17 inch wheels and may or may not be on original brakes, probably on a second set of tires....you got to factor all this in....

COngratulations....you got the best deal ever on a GS....that car was around 53k new.....2 years old and 55% off cant be beat....I bet that was 24K OTD with extended warranty and they threw in rims, tires and tint, plus service for 5 years....

I don't think he got it for $24K unless something was wrong like it was it. I researched for 2 weeks long and hard. I bought a 06 gs300 AWD no ML 38k miles for $25,900. Then a few weeks later the best deal to date I have seen is at sewell lexus it is a 06 gs300 with ML for $26,800 CPO. should have gotten that one it had 46K miles on it so what is a good deal? take out the difference in cost from 46K to 38K miles whatever that is add it to that cost and to me that is a good deal.

if you are anywhere near South Carolina there is a dealership there with pretty fair pricing on used cars.........this is my first post so I don't want to break any forum rules but you could drop me a line if you want to know the dealership.

I just bought a '06 GS300 RWD with 49k for 25000 out the door. It was a lease turn-in from the dealership. I guess I got it for that price because it was virtually out of factory warranty. The tradeoff was that this car has new tires, 3M paint protection on the front facia and rearseat video with 2 fully independent video systems installed in the headrests with wireless headphones.

I just got a 06 gs300 with navi, ML, parking sensors, CPO warranty (3 yrs 100k miles), 34k miles, for $29k from lexus of santa monica. It wasn't the best deal around, but i bought a RX the week before and hated it, they gave me a full refund on it. It was either this, or take a loss by trading the RX in at another dealership which would have cost me more in the end.

The price you found was about right, remember that CPO makes it worth about $2k more than a used car without warranty.

So you bought it an a Lexus Dealer Held Auction...I did not know Lexus dealers did this....or did you buy it at an auto auction for lease returns ? are you a dealer?

the original poster asked what a good price was, do you think it is fair to tell him your 07 gs350 cost 24k when you got it at a dealer auction ? Besides, you simply dont have the luxury of test driving a car at most dealer auctions, you get it as it is, it may have a warranty but it may also have some issues. My dealer auction experience has been that you scope out a few of the cars you like and bid on each....the one you want may go for a bit higher so you want a backup choice....this sometimes means you get the color combo you may not prefer as #1...enough ranting

2 year lease ??
Anyway, Lexus dealers have first dibs on Lexus lease cars that go to auction. If they passed on that car at that price there was a reason.
