Default When do we need to change the Transmission Fluid?

Hello,
I wondering when do we need to change the transmission fluid? I have the 2007 GS350 with 47K miles and I've read in the manual that said we don't need to change trans fluid for a long time and there is not dipstick to find out how the condition of the fluid is either. I think this is a really risky practice...... Any advices or knowledge would be great to know.

Thanks a lot,

Dh.

^^ Yeah from my understanding its a new grade of tranny fluid they use that never has to be changed. Considering the GS has advanced 6/8/CVT trannies for now I would follow it.

I have thought about adding a tranny cooler though (the biggiest enemy to a tranny is high heat and hot tranny fluid). Has anyone else done this?

On the maintenance booklet, the only time to change the fluid is if there are signs of leakage. I'd also like to add a tranny cooler, but I'm not sure if this is beneficial or detrimental to the original design.

It can increase the possibility of leakage.

Very good point . I'll leave the original design alone.
