GS350 Purchased Yesterday
We recently purchased a one owner GS350 with all the toys yesterday. This is our first Lexus. The GS has 68K our intent is to drive it into the ground (six-ten years from today). Those of you who are GS350 owners how long have you had it? What's it like in the snow (new england winters)? Other than routine maintance what do you spend yearly to keep it on the road? Do you have it dealer serviced? Ours is certified so I'm covered until 100K. I recently discovered this site tonight very cool. Thanks to all.

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to Club Lexus. I've had my GS for a year. I do dealer maintenance which is about $150 every 5000 miles. A simple search will reveal simple instructions for changing the oil. It can be done, but I simply don't have the time to do it. I don't know if you have AWD or RWD so I can't help much on snow other than saying that I have heard from AWD owners that it does quite well. In either case a set of snow tires are recommended. Though VSC is quite helpful.

Mine is an 08 so yearly costs are still low...I would assume that you wont have much besides oil change and tire rotation...and that depends on how much you drive a year.
BTW, instead of heading to the lexus dealer for oil changes, I use a Toyota dealer as a less expensive alternative ($33 compared to $45+).
Welcome to Club Lexus...people are really helpful and informative here....you will find yourself checking it daily.
BTW, lucas...$200 every 5,000...what are they selling you...wow! Is it really needed?

Nice, welcome! If it is RWD make sure you get some really good winters on it. Otherwise, it is virtually undrivable with the OEM tires I got with it (Dunlop SP Sport 2050) even in a light dusting.
Btw, which year is it?

What do they do for $200? Mine is an 06 Black/Black Awd.
I mentioned this to the dealer about the wheels.
My alloy wheels have bubbles on them and need to be replaced or fixed. The dealer has some one that attempts to fix the wheels. If they can't fix them they are going to replace them. Our two kids have more room then our 06 Subru Tribeca very cool.

I think you mean GS300 right? Unless its an 07 model year...
The $200 service includes oil and filter and the inspections listed in the service schedule basically plus tire rotations? ( I can't recall exactly what they do ). Obviously they wash and do a detail of your car exterior and interior.
Yes, customer service is where Lexus excels, so if you have problems with an individual dealer, just call up Lexus USA.

$200 for oil change and tire rotate...maybe washer fluid refill...save yourself some dough and find an alternative...like I said I had a great experience at my Toyota dealer.
