Default New GS3

Hi guys, long time member here. Finally upgraded to a 2006 GS3.

Sorry for the messy garage. The dinged ES3 on the side is my wifes, its a 2000 CE.

I'm picking up some rims on monday. Have not picked out the style yet, I have a couple ideas in mind. I'm Leaning towards 20's with a staggered setup.

A few things that I would like to do:
  1. Yellow FOGs (HID or Bulb??)
  2. Parking lights close to 4300K color (bulb type/brand - don't want to lose high beams)
  3. iPod integration with nav radio control
  4. NAV hack with switch
  5. Tint windows
  6. Brakes - stock rotors look horrid

If any of you have done these mods and care share your experiences that would be great!

Also if you have some mods that are not listed please share.

My 1997 ES3 is for sale right now as well. It is lowered with Tein springs and has the SC430 shoes.
Thanks!!

I went with Nokya 2500K bulb and I like them.

Parking lights are separate from your high beams. Your high beam is responsible for your DRLs. No matter what bulb you choose, since it runs at half the power, it will not be white enough to match. I had mine turned off. And no, it's not illegal to turn off your DRLs.

I have the VAISTech kit that also plays videos. Check the vendor's page for pricing.

I did the NAV hack without a switch and it didn't take long at all. I would read over the thread and do it.

Got my windows tinted, 35% all around.

As for brakes, as long as yours is not an AWD, there are several choices for drilled/slotted rotors. Check the vendor's page as well for more info.

congrats on the new ride. you should look into some 3000k HID fogs. i have XenonDepot HID conversion, not yellow, but work great and easy to install.

1. Nokya 2500k is great, bulbs only, not HID
2. Polarg M4s
3. VAIS has a great interface
4. See my DIY thread....

7. I would add side mirror covers with LEDs to the essentials list....

Thanks sick, i have been searching!! Read that post a few times already, got some great tips and ideas from it. My list was general as to what I was planning, and if others had extra input great!

Ya, I'm not too familiar with them as well, they are the only ones my dealer has in stock currently that fit my style. I was supposed to get over there today to pick them out but ran out of time. I'll head over tomorrow and see what else they have.

I've seen a few 10-spoke deep dish wheels that are catching my attention as well.

Thanks for the help!!
