if so i was looking to purchase one. i know with bmw's they offer a full service warranty, and you can purchase an extended service warranty for around $2000 up to 100K. curious to know if lexus offers something similiar.

never heard of a full service warranty.

the extended warranty has many limitations. and some vital parts aren't covered.

When I bought my GS, my dealership offered to sell me a maintenance plan. But i'm sure there are several limitations such as where I could service and it wasn't cheap.

if you buy one, just make sure it covers expensive parts like the transmissions.

lexus star...my opinion here...if you go with a gs, save your money. Besides the dash rattles, this thing appears solid.

My parents have a 02 RX and do nothing but change the oil. Hope to do the same with mine.

Considering the long term reliability data of BMW's, it may be a prudent investment. I am not slamming Beamer's...the 5 series was my second choice...the lexus reliability was just something I couldnt discount/ignore.

i hope Lexus starts to compete directly with BMW in performance and maintenance. These two things is where BMW is way ahead

If you are looking for a maintenance plan like BMW's, Lexus do not offer one, but most Lexus dealers do. The draw back is you have to go to that dealer for the life of the plan.
